The winner is the player that at the end, after several betting rounds, can use his
two cards together with the five community cards and make the best five card poker
hand. You will be ready to play in no time. Afterwards, just log in and start watching

Game Play
- One player acts as dealer. This position is called the button and it rotates
clockwise after every hand.
- The two players to the left of the dealer are the small blind and the big blind,
respectively. They are the only players who have money in the pot before the
cards are dealt.
- Every player receives two cards face down. These are hole cards.
- The first betting round begins with the player sitting immediately to the left of
the big blind, and continues clockwise.
- When it’s the players turn to act, he has five options; call, bet, check, fold or
raise. Making a bet means wagering an amount, adding it to the pot. A call
is matching a previously made bet. To make a raise is to increase the
wagered amount. Folding means dropping out of the pot, not wanting to call
any made bets or raises. A player can check only if no bets are yet in play. It
simply passes on the action to the next player in turn.
- When the first betting round is completed, three community cards are
flipped face up on the table. This is called the flop.
- The second round of betting begins with the first remaining player seated to
the left of the button. The betting resumes, clockwise.
- When the second round of betting is finished, a fourth community card is
flipped face up on the table. This is called the turn.
- The third round of betting commences with the first remaining player sitting
to the left of the button. The betting moves clockwise, with the bets doubling
on the turn.
- When the third round of betting is over, a fifth community card is flipped face
up on the table. This is called the river.
- The fourth round of betting starts with the first remaining player seated to the
left of the button. The betting continues to move clockwise.
Limits
This limit determines the blind amounts. In a $1/$2 game the blinds would be
$0.50 dollar for the small blind and $1 for the big blind. Usually the small blind is
the half the value of the big blind. It’s important to choose the right level of play. If you
have say $100 you don’t want to play at a $10/$20 since you would risk having to
force bet your entire stack before even getting any good cards.
You probably need to read through this more than once, but you really don’t need
more than a brief understanding before you start to play.
As soon as you have got a game going, you’ll pick up all the main points. And as
soon as you feel comfortable playing, we’ve got heaps of stuff to help you quickly
improve your game and become a winner. Enjoy, and good luck! |
How to make a hand
The players must combine their 2 cards
with the community cards to make the
best possible 5-card poker hand. It is
possible to use both hole cards, one
hole card or no hole card (play the
board), in an effort to make a hand.
